Great Shield Quest
Step 1 The warlock tower south-east of New Edron
About 75 squares south-east of the New Edron temple go up the ramp at 31715,32629 and down the stairs at 31721,32649. Pass the gate of expertise at 31718,32655 (level 100) and take the stairs at 31718,32653 down to floor 8.
Step 2 The silver key
The door to the chamber is locked, so get the key first. You need two yellow gems: no NPC sells them, and hands of cursed fate drop them most often. From the stairs on floor 8 walk south-east through the cave to the lever at 31742,32696. Put one yellow gem on each of the stone tiles at 31740,32699 and 31743,32699 and pull the lever: the gems vanish and a silver key appears on the sacrificial stone at 31742,32701.
Step 3 Through the locked door
Stand next to the door at 31722,32669 and use the silver key on it - without the key the door stays locked. It locks again behind every person, so each one has to open it with a key; the key is not used up. From the inside the door opens without a key. Behind it drop through the trapdoor at 31721,32672 to floor 9. Bring a rope: the way back up is the hole in the ceiling at 31725,32671.
Step 4 The chest
The great shield lies in the chest at 31728,32665 (floor 9), from level 100. Orshabaal waits in the room together with a diabolic imp and a fire elemental; warlocks guard the floors above.
